ABOUT ME

I am a whole nerd who loves documentaries about space. I'm convinced Cheez-Its are manna from heaven -and I’m waiting for the gluten-free version. I can sing the theme songs to most of the various shows that cycled through TGIF. Though I was gifted tickets to a BSB concert in high school I will ALWAYS be #TeamNSYNC. My favorite color is midnight blue, straight from the Crayola 64 crayon box.

I am an Atlanta-born 90s kid who lived in Philly for 8 years after high school and came back to Atlanta in 2010. I came back because I missed my family, and because work had burnt me to a crisp.

In 2016, pregnant with my first kiddo, I heard the word for what had gotten my attention that I hadn’t found language for: dignity. I started dreaming and talking and creating around dignity and sharing it however I could.

In 2019 I could feel myself going through what had become a broken-record ritual of burnout. And I was over it. There had to be a way I do what I loved, be who I loved, and love others well.

I believe, wholeheartedly, we are made of stars. And I believe chasing the wonder of that will change us to be more awe-filled, more connected, and more wholy.

I believe, wholeheartedly, that every person - even the one who postures themselves as my enemy - has dignity. People don’t always live from their dignity. I can call that out and honor their dignity anyway by calling them in to a way of collective flourishing.

It was my “yes” to the pursuit of dignity and wonder - a yes I’ve had to say over and over again since 2016 - that brought me here.

I hope you’ll let me take your hand and imagine with you a world where working doesn’t default to burnout, where relationships honor the worth of every one involved, and where we tell stories that keep us deeply connected to the whole of our human experience.
